PROGRAM

It is no longer necessary to accept mental and physical decline as a "natural" consequence of aging.

Age Management Medicine is also known as anti-aging or  preventive/regenerative medicine. This relatively new field of medicine focuses on: (1) the mechanisms that cause aging and its reduction of physical and mental function; (2) the causes of illness; and (3) treating, slowing, or preventing the causes of aging.  In short, Age Management Medicine seeks to prevent, slow, or reverse the losses customarily associated with aging. This contrasts with traditional medicine, which is most often preoccupied with treating the effects of the aging process.

A century ago the average life expectancy was 43 to 47 years. Today, the expectancy has almost doubled, due mostly to medical and tecnological advances in medicine and technology.  Age Management Medicine seeks to expand on these advances and help you lead a healthier, longer life.  Starting and continuing an Age Management program can help prevent a tapering down of your quality of life as you age.  My goal is to help you enjoy a healthier, stronger, and consequently longer life by developing a program specifically customized for you. The program recommends a lifestyle change that involves a multi-modal approach, including:

1. Hormone Replacement Therapy Using Bio-Identical Hormones;
2. Neutraceutical Supplementation;
3. Exercise;
4. Stress Reduction;
5. An Anti-Inflammatory Hormonally Balanced Diet.

PROGRAM SPECIFICS
Patients will undergo a physicial exam and will have a complete medical history taken.  We also take a comprehensive blood analysis that will measure blood chemistry, organ function, cholesterol, tumor markers, and current hormone levels. Whether or not hormones will need to be replaced will be determined by your laboratory results and your symptoms.  After this comprehensive overview, all aspects of the diet, antioxidant/neutraceutical supplementation, stress reduction, exercise, and any hormone replacement pertaining to your individual program will be explained in detail.  In short, you will be tested, supplemented, and balanced for optimal benefit.  To ensure the best results, follow-up examinations, including lab tests and a review of your symptoms, should take place every three months during the first year.  After the first year, your response to the therapy will determine the length of time between your follow-up visits.
